SOBA First Place at SCAA Summer Champs

Our team earned the most point at yesterday’s Summer Championship Meet, coming in first in our division, and, in fact, WINNING the entire meet. GREAT JOB!! We have a very nice team trophy to share with everyone!

Each and every swimmer who participated yesterday scored points for the team – this was truly a TEAM EFFORT! That means we have lots of medals to share, folks!
over 95% of you had at least one personal best time at Winter Champs – WOW!!
27% had one best time
41% had two best times, and
27% had best time in all three events – that is fantastic – so proud of you, swimmers!
And, we had six new team records set at the summer champs meet – two of those records were from 2003, and one from 2006. Congratulations to:

· Breana Jacobs – Female 11-12 50Y Freestyle 27.92 (broke a 2003 record!)
· Leana Jacobs – Female 9-10 50Y Breaststroke 38.08
· Jonathan Paz – Male 13-14 100Y Breaststroke 1:12.94 (broke a 2003 record!)
· Nick Paz – Male 9-10 100Y Freestyle 1:06.73 (broke a 2006 record!) & 100 IM 1:18.51
Parents: thank you for all your help with all the ‘jobs’ we were assigned by the league. We really appreciate you pitching in to help make this meet run as smoothly as possible.
This was a fantastic way to end the season! We are so thrilled for our team, and so excited for all of your successes at summer champs.
